It is not known how the snake ended up inside the ice cream, but some netizens speculated that the snake was a venomous 'Golden Tree Snake.'
The Golden Tree Snake typically grows to 70?130 cm and is known for gliding by jumping from tree to tree. The snake found in the ice cream was possibly a juvenile measuring about 20?40 cm.
Meanwhile, in the past, ice cream containing pit viper was sold in Japan. This ice cream was made by finely grinding pit viper and mixing it with almonds and milk fat. In Thailand, pit viper species are also roasted, crushed, and used as spices.
