Kim Du-kwan "100% Certain Constitutional Court Will Dismiss Yoon... Democratic Party Must Change Regime"

Kim: "The New Government Must Clean Up the Prosecution"
To Lee Jaemyung: "Apologize for the 'Maebulsyo' Remarks and Pursue Unity"

Former Democratic Party lawmaker Kim Du-kwan asserted on the 9th that he is confident in the Constitutional Court's dismissal of President Yoon Seok-yeol, who was released the previous day.

Kim said on his Facebook that "I have no doubt 100% about the Constitutional Court's dismissal of Yoon Seok-yeol," adding, "Yoon Seok-yeol is just temporarily released, not returning to work, so do not worry about martial law being reinstated."

He stated, "I never imagined a Republic of Korea where the ringleader of a rebellion roams freely," and appealed to his supporters, saying, "Now, punishing the rebel forces can only be done by the Democratic Party achieving a regime change in an early presidential election after the dismissal."

He continued, "The release of Yoon Seok-yeol, an accomplice in rebellion from the prosecution, shows why the regime must be changed and the prosecution reformed," emphasizing, "The new democratic government must clean up the rebellious prosecution and ensure Yoon Seok-yeol receives a proper trial."

Democratic Party leader Lee Jae-myung was asked to apologize for his remarks on the YouTube channel 'Maebulsyo' on the 5th, where he implied that the approval of his second arrest warrant in 2023 was orchestrated by some within the party and the prosecution.

Former lawmaker Kim urged, "There must be no division within the party," and said, "Leader Lee should apologize sincerely and move forward on the path of solidarity, unity, alliance, and victory," adding, "I await Leader Lee's wise judgment."

He also stressed the need to form a coalition government with other opposition parties to establish a regime. Kim said, "For the Democratic Party to create a regime, it is first essential to form a 'one team' after the presidential primary ends, then achieve candidate unification with the broader pro-democracy forces and form a coalition government," emphasizing, "Now, the Democratic Party and Leader Lee must make a decision."
