KT plans to collaborate on data analysis necessary for customer analysis and marketing strategy establishment across the entire business, including product planning, scheduling, and broadcasting production of home shopping companies, by utilizing Genie TV Shopping Insight (GSI). Additionally, KT will apply its AI technology to the production of sales and promotional videos for home shopping companies to support production efficiency.

At the meeting held prior to the signing of the business agreement, KT's plan to advance GSI and support methods for generative AI-based video production were announced.

GSI is a platform that analyzes customer behavior based on real-time TV viewing data and wired and wireless media big data to help home shopping companies maximize product planning, scheduling, broadcast operation, and marketing effectiveness.

Currently, major home shopping companies monitor GSI real-time viewing data to utilize it in broadcast operations, such as adjusting the timing of host comments or promotion exposure during live broadcasts. After the broadcast, it is used to establish optimized product planning, scheduling, and marketing strategies through analysis of viewing data and sales performance. In a satisfaction survey conducted among GSI users, all respondents answered that GSI contributed to increased sales.

Meanwhile, KT plans to apply a chatbot-type 'AI Assistant' and viewer behavior prediction model to GSI to enable anyone to easily analyze and utilize big data. The introduction of AI-based media solutions is expected to allow easy production of short-form videos, significantly reducing production time and costs.

At this meeting, KT conducted practical discussions to establish a win-win model for the IPTV and home shopping industries and agreed to prepare a cooperation roadmap to build a long-term partnership.

Choi Kwang-cheol, Executive Director of KT IPTV Business Headquarters, stated, "By leveraging KT IPTV's approximately 9.5 million subscriber base and AI big data technology, we plan to actively support the immediate reflection of home shopping customer trends and needs, enabling the sale of optimal products to customers."
