The Special Investigation Headquarters for Emergency Martial Law of the Prosecution (Head: Park Se-hyun, Chief Prosecutor of Seoul High Prosecutors' Office) announced that "the release order for President Yoon was sent to Seoul Detention Center" on the same day.
President Yoon was arrested and detained by the High-ranking Officials' Crime Investigation Office on January 15 and was subsequently indicted while in detention by the prosecution.
On the 7th, when the court decided to cancel President Yoon's detention, the prosecution reviewed whether to immediately appeal the decision or to issue a release order for President Yoon.
