NH Nonghyup Bank Gapyeong Branch donates 100 million KRW
to support the successful hosting of the Gyeonggi-do Sports Competitions
Funds to be used for transportation and event prizes for residents and spectators
Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi Province (Governor Seo Tae-won) announced on the 8th that NH Nonghyup Bank Gapyeong Branch donated 100 million KRW to the Gapyeong County Sports Council on the 6th. This sponsorship aims to support the successful hosting of the 15th Gyeonggi-do Disabled Sports Competition and the 71st Gyeonggi-do Sports Competition.

Attending the sponsorship ceremony were Governor Seo Tae-won, Kim Seong-rok, Head of NH Nonghyup Bank Gyeonggi Headquarters, Song Myung-gyu, Manager of NH Nonghyup Bank Gapyeong Branch, Lee Sang-yoon, Senior Vice Chairman of the Gapyeong County Sports Council, and Shin Seong-sik, Senior Vice Chairman of the Gapyeong County Disabled Sports Council. The sponsorship funds will be used for bus operations by town and township to facilitate residents' transportation on the day of the opening ceremony and for event prizes for spectators.
Song Myung-gyu, Manager of NH Nonghyup Bank Gapyeong Branch, said, “We are delivering this sponsorship to wish for the successful hosting of the Gyeonggi-do Sports Competition,” adding, “We will continue to support the development of the local community.”
Lee Sang-yoon, Senior Vice Chairman of the Gapyeong County Sports Council, expressed gratitude for the active support from NH Nonghyup Bank Gapyeong Branch and emphasized, “We will do our best to create a meaningful competition that unites 14 million Gyeonggi residents as one.”
Governor Seo Tae-won said, “We are grateful to NH Nonghyup Bank Gapyeong Branch for their deep interest and sponsorship for the Gyeonggi-do Sports Competition, which is being held in Gapyeong for the first time in 71 years,” and added, “We will devote all efforts to thorough preparations for the successful hosting of the competition during the remaining period.”
Meanwhile, the 15th Gyeonggi-do Disabled Sports Competition will be held throughout Gapyeong-gun from April 24 to 26, with the opening ceremony taking place at 3 p.m. on April 24 at Jaraseom Jungdo in Gapyeong. The 71st Gyeonggi-do Sports Competition will be held from May 15 to 17, with the opening ceremony at 4 p.m. on May 15 at the same location.
