Comprehensive Survey of Facilities in Jurisdictional Industrial Complexes
Termination Measures to Be Taken After Analysis of Non-Operational Facilities
Yeonggwang County in Jeollanam-do is set to reduce its expenditure budget by cutting public utility costs. The county plans to conduct a comprehensive survey of operational facilities such as industrial water wells and booster stations within its industrial complexes and agro-industrial complexes, analyze monthly electricity usage data, and reduce related expenses.
According to Yeonggwang County on the 7th, there are three industrial complexes under its jurisdiction: Daema Electric Vehicle Industrial Complex, Gunseo Agro-industrial Complex, and Songnim Agro-industrial Complex.
With public utility costs in industrial complexes increasing every year, it was analyzed that last year’s expenditure reached approximately 135 million KRW.
The department in charge of managing the industrial complexes has established a plan to reduce public utility costs. It will conduct a full-scale survey of operational facilities such as industrial water wells and booster stations, review non-operational facilities and operational cycles, and terminate contracts for facilities that can be taken offline.
In addition, by analyzing monthly usage data, the county plans to seek ways to reduce public utility costs, such as changing the rate plan for facilities whose usage is significantly lower than the contracted power.
A Yeonggwang County official stated, “We will continue to do our utmost with a proactive attitude to reduce public utility costs and strive to find ways to save even a single penny of the budget.”
