Currently, redevelopment and maintenance projects are being promoted by forming associations in nine zones within the promotion district (Deokso 2, 3, 4, 5A, 5B, 6A, 7, Dogok 1, and 2).

The meeting was attended by Ju Gwang-deok, Mayor of Namyangju City, nine association heads from the Deokso Redevelopment Promotion District, and city officials.

Namyangju City shared current issues related to the project with the association heads and provided guidance on the key contents of each zone’s project progress stages.

They also explained the recently revised ordinances and laws related to maintenance projects and discussed with the association heads the systematic and prompt completion of the Deokso Redevelopment Promotion District maintenance project.

One association head who attended the meeting said, “While new town development is important, redevelopment of the original city area is also an urgent task,” adding, “I hope everyone takes an interest, cooperates, and develops together so that the redevelopment projects in the original city area, including the Deokso Redevelopment Promotion District, can proceed smoothly.”

Mayor Ju Gwang-deok said, “I express my respect and gratitude to the association officials who have done their best for the development of Deokso through difficult and long times,” and added, “I look forward to successfully completing the maintenance projects in cooperation with residents and making Wabu-eup a better city to live in.”

Earlier, on the 11th of last month, Namyangju City signed a business agreement between associations and construction companies to actively involve local construction industry companies in construction, services, design, construction, construction materials, and manufacturing distribution industries in six redevelopment and reconstruction maintenance projects.

Namyangju City plans to hold association meetings for the Jigeum and Donong Redevelopment Promotion Projects and general and small-scale maintenance projects on the 12th and 27th, respectively, aiming to further strengthen balanced development and local communication in Namyangju’s original city area and bring a new breeze to the original city area.
