Health management services including health and nutrition
Wanju County in North Jeolla Province is currently recruiting participants ahead of launching its Public Health Center Mobile Healthcare Program.
According to the county on the 7th, the Mobile Healthcare Program is a non-face-to-face service in which a dedicated team of doctors, nurses, nutritionists, and exercise specialists provides personalized health management services?such as health, nutrition, and exercise?using a smartphone app and a smart band (activity tracker).
The program is scheduled to begin on the 17th, and those who are ultimately selected will be provided with a smart band, which must be returned to the health center if they withdraw from the program before completion.
Eligible participants are Wanju County residents and workers in Wanju County who are 19 years or older and possess and can use a smartphone. Anyone who, during their first health checkup at the health center, does not have a diagnosed disease or is not taking prescribed medication for such a condition is eligible to participate.
Those interested should apply at the health center’s exercise program room by the 14th.
Participants will receive health management services such as health, nutrition, and exercise via the mobile app for a total of 24 weeks from the program start date. Changes in health status will be monitored through body measurements and blood tests during initial, mid-term, and final health center checkups.
Last year, from July to December, a total of 80 people participated in the Mobile Healthcare Program and received positive feedback for improving their self-health management abilities.
Han Myeongran, Head of the Health Promotion Division, said, “The Mobile Healthcare Program is a non-face-to-face service that allows participants to receive expert health consultations. We hope many Wanju County residents and local workers who have difficulty visiting the health center in person will take interest and participate.”
