It has been reported that the police investigating the case in which Lee, the son of Lee Cheol-gyu, a member of the People Power Party, was caught trying to obtain liquid marijuana, have also identified his wife, Ms. A, as an accomplice.
The Seocho Police Station in Seoul booked Ms. A on the 7th on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act. The police detected circumstances in which two people, including Ms. A, the wife, were riding in the rental car used by Lee, the 30-year-old son of the lawmaker, during the crime.
The police have secured urine and hair samples from the couple and requested a detailed analysis from the National Forensic Service, and are currently awaiting the results.
Meanwhile, Lee is accused of attempting but failing to find liquid marijuana in a flower bed in a residential area of Seocho-gu last October, using a method known as "throwing".
