Leading the Realization of a High-Quality Patient-Centered Culture

At the inauguration ceremony, Uijeongbu Eulji University Hospital awarded appointment certificates to 34 key department representatives as Patient Experience Leaders.
The Patient Experience Leaders will play a role in improving patient experience and enhancing the quality of medical services.
Accordingly, they will monitor all processes that patients go through while using the hospital, from reservation, visit, waiting at the reception desk, consultation, examination, payment, hospitalization, surgery, to returning to daily life after discharge.
They will also carry out various activities to improve inconveniences discovered from the patient's perspective.
In particular, they will take the lead in realizing high-quality patient-centered care in all areas, including improving customer service, proposing process improvements, and promoting collaboration and communication within the hospital.
Patient experience has recently become an increasingly important area in medical quality evaluation.
Beyond simply evaluating whether treatment was successful, various experiential factors are included in the evaluation, such as whether patients’ rights were fully guaranteed during the treatment process, whether they received care in a safe environment, and whether they would recommend the hospital to others.
Director Song Hyun stated, “The appointment of Patient Experience Leaders is an expression of our commitment to prioritize the patient’s perspective at every moment,” and added, “We will do our best with the heart of caring for family members to develop a patient-centered culture unique to Uijeongbu Eulji University Hospital.”
