Interest-Free Loans of Up to 20 Million KRW Available
Iksan City in North Jeolla Province is recruiting applicants for the 'Public Rental Housing Deposit Support Project.'
According to the city on the 7th, this project provides interest-free loans of up to 20 million KRW for the rental deposit, excluding the contract down payment. The support period is two years and can be extended up to a maximum of ten years depending on the number of children.
Eligible applicants are newlywed couples and unmarried youths who are currently residing in or planning to move into public rental housing within Iksan. For newlywed couples, those who registered their marriage after January 1, 2018 are eligible, and for unmarried youths, those born between January 1, 1986 and December 31, 2007 are eligible.
This year, support will be provided to 60 households, with 15 households recruited for each of the four housing types: Iksan Station Haneulchae The First, Iksan 3rd General Industrial Complex Happy Housing, Inhwa Happy Housing, and other public rental housing. The application period varies by public rental housing, so applicants should visit the Housing Division during the designated period to apply.
Applications for Iksan Station Haneulchae The First will be accepted from the 10th to the 14th of this month, and for the 3rd General Industrial Complex Happy Housing from the 7th to the 11th of next month. For Inhwa Happy Housing and other public rental housing, applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
A city official stated, "We are operating the rental deposit support project to reduce the financial burden and increase housing stability for newlywed couples and young people without homes," and added, "We will continue to establish various housing support policies to create Iksan as a city where young people and newlyweds can live comfortably without worrying about housing."
