Discussion on Cooperation Measures with Related Agencies at the Fire Station Chiefs' Meeting

The Chungnam Fire Headquarters held a meeting of fire station chiefs on the afternoon of the 7th at the Chungcheong Fire Academy, presided over by Fire Chief Kwon Hyukmin. The meeting was attended by the fire academy principal, the 119 Special Response Unit chief, the Safety Experience Center director, fire station chiefs, and about 40 others to discuss wildfire prevention and response measures for the spring season.

At the meeting, key topics included: strengthening cooperation with related agencies for wildfire response, mobilizing all available firefighting resources, enhancing monitoring and prevention activities in wildfire-prone areas, and establishing a rapid wildfire response system.

In particular, the participants resolved to make a concerted effort to prevent wildfires in advance and to establish a swift initial response system to minimize wildfire damage.

Kwon Hyukmin, Chief of the Fire Headquarters, stated, "Every spring, dry weather and strong winds increase not only the risk of wildfires but also the potential for large-scale fire spread. Let us do our utmost to prevent and respond to wildfires through close cooperation between fire stations and active utilization of available resources."
