The Heart-Heart Foundation (Chairman Oh Ji-cheol) announced on the 7th that it held a legacy donation ceremony from the late sponsors Park Dae-jung and Han Mun-seon.
The bereaved families decided to continue the wishes of sponsor Park Dae-jung, who served the country throughout his life by participating in the Korean War and the Vietnam War and practicing love, and sponsor Han Mun-seon, who worked as a teacher at Yangjae Academy in her youth and showed love to those around her with her kind and gentle personality, by donating their legacies to support marginalized groups.
At the ceremony, the children of the two sponsors?Park Ki-yong (professor of Film Studies at Dankook University and former chairman of the Korean Film Council), Park Ki-sook, and Park Joo-hee?and son-in-law Kim No-su attended together. On behalf of the family, Professor Park Ki-yong said, “Both of them practiced love for their neighbors throughout their lives based on honesty and sincerity, valuing the spirit of sharing more than material wealth.”
The donated 50 million won will be used for nutritional kits for 100 children suffering from food insecurity and treatment costs for 30 children with rare and incurable diseases.
Chairman Oh Ji-cheol stated, “The legacy donation from sponsors Park Dae-jung and Han Mun-seon is a meaningful act that continues their parents’ love for neighbors through sharing,” and added, “We hope this case will encourage more people to reflect on the value of sharing and serve as an opportunity to expand legacy donations.”
