Kwon Young-se, Emergency Response Committee Chairman of the People Power Party, expressed his position on the release of President Yoon Seok-yeol, who was indicted and detained on charges of 'leader of the rebellion,' saying, "I warmly welcome this."

On the same day, Chairman Kwon met with reporters at the National Assembly and said, "Considering the process that led to the detention investigation, President Yoon's detention had many issues," adding, "We also said at the Emergency Response Committee yesterday that the detention should be canceled, so I think this is a good outcome."

He continued, "Although the process had many regrets, I greatly welcome the decision to cancel the detention even at this point," and added, "I hope the prosecution will not raise any objections to this."

When asked about plans to visit after President Yoon's release, he replied, "So far, I have only heard about the release, so I will consider it gradually," and added, "But I think it should be done."
