Incheon City to Provide 3 Million KRW Support for Switching Children's School Vehicles to LPG

Incheon City announced on the 7th that it will provide 3 million won in support for switching children's school transportation vehicles to LPG.

To reduce fine dust and protect children's health, the city will accept applications for the 'Children's School Transportation Vehicle LPG Conversion Support Project' from the 10th to the 21st of this month.

The support target is vehicle owners who scrap diesel vehicles and purchase new LPG vehicles to register them as children's school buses in Incheon City. The city plans to support a total of 29 vehicles with 3 million won per vehicle.

Starting this year, priority support will be given to one vehicle per person or institution, and if there is remaining budget, additional vehicles that apply will also be supported. Furthermore, based on scrapping criteria, priority will be given in the order of children's school transportation vehicles, paid transportation vehicles, early scrapping selected vehicles, and other diesel vehicles.

Selected applicants will be individually notified on the 31st. For more details, please check the Incheon City website or contact the Air Quality Conservation Division of Incheon City Hall or the Korea LPG Association.

An official from Incheon City urged, "We hope for much interest and participation in the LPG vehicle conversion project to create a safe commuting environment for children."
