SNU Commons is a project by Seoul National University to gather student spaces within the campus into one place, establishing a hub for learning, exchange, and culture. At SNU Commons Central Library, lectures for this year’s freshmen are scheduled to be held. In particular, the Hall of Knowledge and Culture on the first floor of the main building will offer advanced lectures utilizing a large-scale media wall and media lab.

At the opening ceremony art forum, domestic and international masters gathered, including Park Je-sung, art director of the Central Library and professor at the College of Fine Arts, artist Mok Jin-yo who participated in media content production, and artist Kang Yi-yeon. They discussed methods and expansion possibilities of art education, directions for art in the digital environment, and how technology is utilized in the art creation process.

At SNU Commons Central Library, over 20 advanced media artworks by world-renowned masters will be exhibited through the media wall. This aims to stimulate creative thinking by combining the space of the library with art.

Seoul National University plans to continue the SNU Commons project, which supports convergence research and creation, starting with the establishment of the Central Library.
