Achieved an Average Annual Sales Growth Rate of 43.6% Over Five Years
Birdview, the operator of the beauty platform 'Hwahae,' announced on the 7th that its sales revenue last year reached 82.4 billion KRW, a 60% increase compared to the previous year, achieving its highest-ever performance.
Hwahae succeeded in turning a profit in terms of EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization) in the second quarter of last year, and also achieved a 122% increase year-on-year in the fourth quarter, maintaining profitability. Hwahae explained that the advertising, commerce, and brand business sectors all grew, driving the sales increase.

Hwahae operates the 'Brand Boosting Program (BBP)' to support the growth of small and medium-sized brands and provides various advertising solutions such as the Hwahae Survey Group, Display, and Hwahae Emblem to help improve brand awareness. As of the end of last year, Hwahae’s brand partners totaled 2,235, recording an average annual growth rate of 31% over the past five years.
In addition, in the commerce sector, sales of the 'ONLY Hwahae' products, planned and developed based on user reviews and purchase data, increased by 36.1% year-on-year. The subsidiary skincare brand 'Beplain' also saw overseas sales grow by 175% compared to the previous year. Hwahae launched a global web English version in November last year and recently added a Japanese version to expand globally.
Kim Kyung-il, CEO of Birdview, said, "The year 2024 was a year in which Hwahae’s vision that 'smart consumer choices drive brand growth' was realized," adding, "We will do our best to achieve results not only in the domestic market but also in the global market."
