Civil Servant Family Volunteer Group, Clubs, and "One Department, One Volunteer Partnership"
Aiming for 9,000 Volunteer Hours, a 29% Increase from Last Year
Ulsan City has established and is set to actively implement the "2025 Civil Servant Volunteer Activation Plan" to realize "A Warm Ulsan United by Warmth."
This plan was prepared to further spread the culture of volunteering within the public sector and to strengthen solidarity with the local community, building on last year's achievements.
The city has selected "Creating a Warm Ulsan United by Warmth" as one of this year's key municipal tasks and aims to achieve 9,000 hours of volunteer service, a 29% increase compared to last year.
To this end, a variety of programs and incentive measures have been prepared.
Main initiatives include: ▲ Operation of a "Civil Servant Family Volunteer Group" ▲ Expansion of volunteer activities in connection with departments and public institutions ▲ Facility volunteering centered on clubs and societies ▲ Introduction of customized volunteer programs for long-term trainees ▲ Strengthening the linkage of general volunteer programs.
Outstanding volunteers will receive special incentives such as priority selection for preferred training and opportunities for overseas training for excellent volunteers. In addition, vests for the "Sharing Warmth Activities" will be produced, and campaigns will be strengthened to widely promote the value of volunteering.
In March, a meeting among clubs and societies will be held to discuss ways to promote volunteering and spread the sharing of warmth.
An Ulsan City official stated, "Through this plan, we expect the culture of volunteering within the public sector to spread further and to contribute to improving the quality of life for citizens," adding, "We will continue to make multifaceted efforts to create 'A Warm Ulsan United by Warmth.'"
Centered on the "Ulsan City Sharing Warmth Promotion Headquarters," which was launched in December last year, the city is accelerating the activation of volunteering by promoting a relay campaign among participating organizations.
Last year, Ulsan City achieved 8,620 hours of volunteer service, far exceeding the initial target of 7,000 hours. This figure represents 123% of the original goal, highlighting the active participation of civil servants.
