Gwangju Swimming Federation Appoints 26 Executives Including Executive Vice President Kim Dohyeong

The Gwangju Swimming Federation announced on the 6th that it held the 2nd board meeting of 2025 in the conference room on the 2nd floor of the City Sports Council on the 5th.

During the board meeting, matters such as the selection of swimmers for the National Sports for All Festival and the appointment ceremony for the 3rd integrated Swimming Federation executives were addressed.

For the 3rd integrated Swimming Federation executives, a total of 26 appointments were made, including Executive Vice President Kim Dohyeong, Vice Presidents Oh Chinam, Choi Seungsik, Park Changyong, Lim Changmin, and Lee Younghun, as well as Secretary General Shin Hyeonggeun and 17 board members, and 2 auditors.

Due to the timing, it is difficult to hold a selection trial for the National Sports for All swimming team, so once the number of athletes allocated by the City Sports Council is determined, selections will be made by reviewing recent outstanding records by club and group. In addition, starting next year, selection trials will be considered, and to vitalize local swimming, the President's Cup Masters Swimming Competition will be held.

Lee Changhyeon, President of the Gwangju Swimming Federation, said, "Last year, at the 105th Changwon National Sports Festival, a Gwangju diving athlete won a gold medal, and I was choked up as I awarded the medal to the athlete. This year as well, we will spare no effort to support our athletes in the National Youth Sports Festival and the National Sports Festival to help improve their performance."
