Acquired in 2019... Accelerating Efforts to Attract a Medical School
Changsin University, operated by Booyoung Group, has recorded a 100% freshman enrollment rate for four consecutive years.
Booyoung Group announced on the 6th, "This year, we achieved a 100% enrollment rate within the quota, and including those beyond the quota, the enrollment rate reached a high 133.6%." According to the '2024 Basic Education Statistics Survey' released by the Ministry of Education in August last year, the freshman enrollment rate for general universities was 98%, which Changsin University exceeded.
Factors contributing to the increase in Changsin University's freshman enrollment rate include customized student management, strengthened industry-academia cooperation with Booyoung Group, and operation of curricula linked to regionally specialized industries. Booyoung Group explained that through this, it is possible to produce graduates equipped with practical skills.
Booyoung Group is promoting the establishment of a medical school at Changsin University. Booyoung Group stated, "Expanding educational infrastructure is significant not only for the university but also for contributing to the development of local communities and national healthcare."
Changsin University plans to reorganize its curriculum and expand cooperation networks with domestic and international companies and local communities.
Since acquiring Changsin University in 2019, Booyoung Group has been improving the educational environment. Chairman Lee Joong-geun of Booyoung Group has continued a policy of supporting freshman tuition fees for six years based on the belief that "education is a century-long plan that designs the future of the nation." Freshmen receive full tuition support for one year, and the nursing department receives 50% support.
