Available for Use at Various Cultural and Leisure Facilities Such as Movie Theaters, Performance Halls, Bookstores, and Study Cafes
Intensive Recruitment of Voucher-Affiliated Cultural and Leisure Businesses Until April 30
Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) is supporting the Youth Cultural Life Voucher to enhance the cultural and leisure life enjoyment of young people in the local community.
In addition to existing youth policies for employment, entrepreneurship, and job support, the district has newly established this voucher support project to promote youth-centered cultural consumption and provide balanced opportunities for cultural welfare benefits.
Youth can use the voucher to experience various cultural activities such as attending performances and movies, and participating in art, music, and sports activities. Eligible recipients are young people aged 24 to 29 who have lived in Gwangjin-gu for more than one year and belong to households with an income below 120% of the median income. The district will support 500 youths annually with 100,000 KRW per person, and applications can be submitted through the youth portal on the Gwangjin-gu Office website starting next month.
Local cultural and leisure businesses can participate as voucher-affiliated stores. The district is recruiting affiliated stores from various industries to expand the scope of support for youth cultural life and revitalize the local cultural ecosystem.
Cultural and leisure-related businesses such as movie theaters, performance halls, bookstores, art and music academies, gyms, and study cafes are all eligible to participate. Registered affiliated stores can attract a new customer base of young people and are expected to increase sales through voucher usage.
Applications for affiliated store registration can be submitted online via the district website or by mail or in person. For more details, contact the Job and Youth Division of Gwangjin-gu Office.
The intensive recruitment period is until April 30, after which the district will continuously recruit affiliated stores throughout the year to increase the places where vouchers can be used. Users can start using vouchers at affiliated stores from May 1.
Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, “Through this Youth Cultural Life Voucher support project, we expect to provide cultural vitality to young people who are interested in various fields such as culture, arts, and sports,” and added, “We hope many businesses participate as affiliated stores to help revitalize the local economy.”
