FSN, a KOSDAQ-listed company, announced on the 6th that it will unveil a new slogan, 'Shared Growth Company,' symbolizing its commitment to contributing substantially to the growth of brands and advertisers.
'Shared Growth Company' embodies FSN's new aspiration to become a company that grows together with advertisers, brands, and platforms based on advanced marketing and tech capabilities. The strategy aims to strengthen the competitiveness of its existing advertising marketing business while directly contributing to the growth of high-potential K-brands and platforms, thereby overcoming challenging business environments and maximizing FSN's growth potential.
Last year, FSN achieved visible results by selling its stake in tech affiliates to Hyper Corporation and focusing on a business model that fosters mutual growth with advertisers, brands, and platforms. Moving beyond traditional advertising agency services, FSN directly invested capabilities in sales and marketing to support partner growth, creating multiple success stories. Its subsidiary, Adqua Interactive, maintained solid performance and continued operating profit in 2024 despite the severe economic downturn.
Through these efforts, FSN recorded sales of 182.5 billion KRW by the third quarter of last year, surpassing the previous year's annual sales within just three quarters. It is also very close to breaking its all-time highest annual sales record of 184.4 billion KRW. This year, as a Shared Growth Company, FSN plans to accelerate co-growth with partner brands by strengthening marketing partnerships with more promising brands.
FSN categorizes its shared growth business into advertiser-based marketing and brand and platform sectors. The marketing division, FSN's greatest competitive advantage, provides digital marketing services and has long served as a cash cow. It offers one-stop services across all digital marketing areas, including integrated marketing, performance marketing, search advertising, and online/offline media businesses. FSN also owns subsidiaries representing each sector. For example, Adqua Interactive, responsible for integrated marketing, was recognized for its competitiveness by winning 20 awards last year alone and achieved sales of 29.5 billion KRW and operating profit of 2.1 billion KRW despite difficult advertising market conditions.
The brand shared growth business, led by subsidiary Boosters, plays a pivotal role in FSN's leap to becoming a Shared Growth Company. While food and beverage brands that have maintained partnerships since the early stages show stable growth, partner shoe brands have also recorded earnings surprises, increasing the number of success cases. Based on this, Boosters achieved record-high performance last year with sales of 105.1 billion KRW and operating profit of 14.7 billion KRW. This year, growth is expected in natural light LED and athleisure brands alongside existing partners. Boosters has already made a promising start, achieving over 300% sales growth year-over-year in the typically slow months of January and February, marking the highest sales for those months.
In the platform division, FSN operates top platforms in each category by combining excellent tech capabilities with marketing and brand shared growth know-how. Representative FSN platforms include 'Kauli,' Korea's first and largest mobile ad network; 'Daedamo,' the nation's No.1 hair loss community; and 'MyOnePick,' a global K-POP fandom platform. The platform business is showing rapid growth as FSN's future growth engine, and the company expects it to establish itself as a new cash cow in the near future.
Seojeonggyo, CEO of FSN, stated, "Last year, we successfully built a business model as an accelerator that grows together with partner companies. This year, we will develop our business as a Shared Growth Company that can directly contribute to the growth of more brands, advertisers, and platforms."
He added, "Despite business growth, I take full responsibility for the recent continuous stock price decline caused by negative market conditions and malicious rumors about FSN. We will do our utmost to completely resolve concerns about FSN this year and be recognized as a trusted and growing company."
