On the 6th, Asan City in South Chungcheong Province held a meeting with Park Jeongju, the Vice Governor for Administrative Affairs of South Chungcheong Province, and requested cooperation on key pending issues.
On this day, the city reported on the following: the selection of Asan as the final candidate site for the Second Central Police Academy, designation as a free economic zone in South Chungcheong Province, the Yi Sunshin Festival, expansion and renovation of the Yeonginsan Natural Recreation Forest, expansion of incineration facilities, construction of a metropolitan multi-modal transfer center at KTX Cheonan-Asan Station, and the private investment project for the Taean-Anseong Expressway.
Jo Ilgyo, Acting Mayor of Asan, stated, "As Asan continues to develop, there is a lack of infrastructure in areas such as roads, culture, and sports," and added, "We are also preparing for the upcoming mayoral by-election on July 2 without any setbacks."
Vice Governor Park Jeongju responded, "Thank you for managing city affairs well for about six months since the mayoral vacancy," and added, "South Chungcheong Province will spare no support for the development of Asan."
