Yeonggwang County Youth Equestrian Team Achieves Consecutive Wins at Equestrian Competition

The youth equestrian team of Yeonggwang County, Jeollanam-do, recently achieved excellent results at the '2025 3rd WINTER Schooling Show Equestrian Competition.' Provided by Yeonggwang County

The Yeonggwang-gun Youth Equestrian Team in Jeollanam-do achieved outstanding results at the recently held '2025 3rd WINTER Schooling Show Equestrian Competition'.

Hosted by the Korea Youth Equestrian Federation, the '2025 3rd WINTER Schooling Show Equestrian Competition' was held over four days and is a prestigious event where youth athletes from across the country compete to showcase the skills they have developed.

Amid fierce competition, Yeonggwang-gun Youth Equestrian Team members achieved remarkable results: Shin Gangheechul (Yeonggwang Elementary School) won 1st and 2nd place in the 50cm obstacle category, and Lee Jaehoo (Yeonggwang Elementary School) secured 2nd and 3rd place in the 50cm obstacle category and 3rd place in the 70cm obstacle category.

The Yeonggwang-gun Youth Equestrian Team athletes have built their competitiveness through thorough training and preparation prior to the competition. In particular, Shin Gangheechul stood out by recording the optimal time with stable movements in the obstacle event.

Shin Gangheechul stated, "Thanks to the coach's guidance and the support of my teammates, I was able to achieve good results," and added, "I want to gain more experience in future competitions and further pursue my dream in equestrian sports."

An official from the county said, "We are very proud of the skills our athletes demonstrated at this competition, and we hope they will continue to achieve excellent results in many more competitions in the future."
