Vertical Protective Nets from Construction Sites
Transformed into Bags, Pouches, and Card Wallets
Samsung C&T Corporation's Construction Division announced on the 6th that it won the main prize in the product category at the 'iF Design Award 2025' with an upcycling product made from protective nets used at construction sites.
The iF Design Award, established in 1953 and organized by the International Forum in Germany, is one of the most prestigious awards in the design field. Along with Germany's 'Red Dot Design Award' and the United States' 'IDEA,' it is considered one of the world's top three design awards. This year, over 10,000 works were submitted from 66 countries worldwide, and winners were selected across nine categories including △Product △Interior △Architecture △User Experience (UX).
Samsung C&T's three Ramian brand goods are upcycled products made by collecting vertical protective nets temporarily installed at Ramian construction sites to prevent falling objects, and transforming them into bags, pouches, and card wallets. The products incorporate the green and gray color schemes symbolizing the Ramian brand, adding the value of upcycling. These products were designed to allow consumers to experience the brand value in everyday life.
Since 2022, Samsung C&T has achieved the remarkable feat of winning the 'iF Design Award' for four consecutive years.
Jung Su-yeon, head of Ramian Gallery, said, "This has become an opportunity to once again prove the international competitiveness of Ramian design, and we will continue new attempts and challenges that can deliver differentiated brand value."
