At the opening ceremony, instructor Jung Chanyong gave the first lecture on the topic of 'The Effects of Barefoot Walking and How to Walk Properly.'

Last year, Seo-gu produced 71 graduates from the 'Barefoot Youth School,' with 52 of them obtaining the Level 2 Barefoot Walking Instructor certification.

In addition, analysis of participants' pre- and post-program health checkups confirmed various health improvements such as ▲relief of constipation, indigestion, and insomnia ▲improved cholesterol metabolism and reduced blood sugar levels.

This year, the district is planning to offer a variety of programs utilizing the Barefoot Road.

The 'Visiting Barefoot Healing School' will provide proper walking education to residents at 18 Barefoot Road locations throughout the district, while the 'Barefoot Nurturing School' will offer barefoot walking experiences for children and parents, combining nature exploration and play-based picnics.

Kim Ikang, Mayor of Seo-gu District, said, "Barefoot walking is an effective exercise for restoring body balance and improving lifestyle habits, and it is a low-cost, high-efficiency health management method that anyone can easily practice. We will continue to operate systematic programs so that residents can maintain a healthy life 'walking until 100 years old.'"

Meanwhile, Seo-gu will host the '2nd Urban Barefoot Festival' at the Geumdangsan Barefoot Road on the 26th of next month, preparing a variety of events such as family healing programs and health consultations under the slogan 'A Road to Walk Barefoot Together, A Road Connected by Love.'
