Customized Job Competency Training
for Promoted Public Officials by Rank
Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam, conducted the "First Half Promotion Job Training" starting on the 6th with 120 level 8 public officials who were promoted in January this year.
The promotion training is held twice a year, in the first and second halves, to strengthen job competencies so that employees promoted from levels 6 to 8 can perform their duties well. The curriculum was designed to include essential areas that employees must have while performing their duties, such as budgeting and accounting, legal practice, and report writing.
The first half trainees consist of 257 public officials from levels 6 to 8 who were promoted during the regular personnel reshuffle in January. To facilitate focused small-group learning, the large number of level 7 and 8 trainees will be divided into two classes. Additionally, professional instructors with diverse lecture experience in various fields were invited to provide a two-day course, allowing participating employees to receive in-depth training.
Hong Sun-young, Director of the Autonomous Administration Bureau, stated, "The promotion training is a process that combines classes and learning achievement assessments to enhance retention, helping employees demonstrate job performance suitable for their promoted ranks. We will continue to provide various competency enhancement trainings so that employees can grow as innovative talents within the public service community."
Meanwhile, the first half promotion training is scheduled to be held from the 6th to 7th for level 8 public officials, from the 10th to 11th for level 7, and from the 17th to 18th for level 6.
