Water Pipe Leak in Daechon-dong, Gwangju... Water Supply Cut Off for 30 Households

Residents experienced inconvenience as water supply was cut off in the Jiseok-dong area of Nam-gu, Gwangju late at night due to a leak in the water main.

At around 9:30 p.m. on the 5th, a leak occurred due to a 6-meter-long crack in the wall of a 300mm diameter water main on the road in front of the Daechon-dong Administrative Welfare Center in Nam-gu, Gwangju.

As a result of the leak, water supply was cut off to 30 households in Jiseok-dong, adjacent to Daechon-dong.

Upon discovering the leak, the Gwangju Waterworks Headquarters replaced the water main and restored the supply within about four hours.

The Gwangju Waterworks Headquarters plans to investigate the exact cause of the leak.
