Jeongeup City to Provide 'Stability Support Fund' for Small Businesses... 500,000 Won Payment in May

Jeongeup City in North Jeolla Province will be accepting applications for the 'Small Business Stability Support Fund' from the 10th to the 28th to help stabilize the management of small business owners.

According to the city on the 6th, this support fund has been prepared to provide practical assistance to small business owners who are struggling due to declining sales and rising labor costs.

Eligible applicants are small business owners who are currently operating with both their registered address and business location in Jeongeup City, and whose sales in the previous year did not exceed 100 million KRW. In the case of corporations, only one co-representative will receive the support.

However, small business owners with no sales in 2024, those who are closed or suspended as of the announcement date, non-profit businesses not operating for profit, businesses excluded from small business policy funds, and industries designated by Jeongeup City such as solar power generation and e-commerce are excluded from support.

Applications can be submitted at the Eup, Myeon, or Dong Administrative Welfare Centers where the business is located.

The support fund will be provided in the form of a 500,000 KRW Jeongeup Love Gift Certificate, and payment is scheduled for May after verifying the applicant's eligibility.

Mayor Lee Haksoo said, "We expect this to provide practical help to small business owners who are struggling with business operations due to economic downturn and rising prices."

Meanwhile, the city supported the local economy last year by providing a total of 1,984.5 million KRW in stability support funds to 3,969 small business owners.
