Held at Seoul COEX Until the 7th
Gwangyang Bay Area Free Economic Zone Authority (Commissioner Koo Chung-gon, hereafter Gwangyang FEZ Authority) is actively engaging in investment promotion activities related to secondary batteries by participating in "InterBattery 2025," held at Seoul COEX from the 5th to the 7th.
"InterBattery 2025" is the largest specialized exhibition for the battery industry in Korea, hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and co-organized by the Korea Battery Industry Association and COEX. This event features participation from over 680 domestic and international companies and is expected to attract approximately 75,000 visitors.

During the event, Gwangyang FEZ Authority is introducing investment opportunities in the secondary battery industry within the Gwangyang Bay Area to major domestic and international companies such as CIS Chemical, Magnatec, TDL, EVE Energy, and BYD, and is conducting tailored one-on-one consultations.
In particular, promotional activities are being strengthened to attract secondary battery-related companies, focusing on the Hadong District Galsaman Shipbuilding Industrial Complex and the Daesong Industrial Complex.
Last year, the Gwangyang Bay Area was designated as a special opportunity development zone for secondary batteries, covering a total of 1.53 million square meters (approximately 470,000 pyeong) including the Gwangyang National Industrial Complex (Donghoan), Sepung Industrial Complex, and Yulchon 1st Industrial Complex, and is emerging as a global secondary battery cluster. Companies moving into these opportunity development zones can receive various benefits such as corporate tax reductions, financial support, regulatory exemptions, and improvements to residential conditions.
Koo Chung-gon, Commissioner of Gwangyang FEZ Authority, stated, "At this exhibition, we will actively promote the investment appeal of the Gwangyang Bay Area's secondary battery sector and do our utmost to vitalize corporate investment through the designation of the opportunity development zone."
