Constellation Commentary Program Using Optical Projector
at Gwacheon National Science Museum
The Gwacheon National Science Museum will conduct a constellation commentary program using an 'optical projector' that directly projects the actual night sky onto a screen through a lens.
Gwacheon Science Museum announced on the 6th that it will revamp the planetarium operation program starting from the 11th. An additional session will be added on weekends and holidays, and the video content has been updated to reflect customer demand.

The Gwacheon Science Museum planetarium attracts about 150,000 visitors annually and is the largest in the country, featuring a 25-meter dome screen and 256 seats. It also has a hybrid system that operates both an optical projector and a digital projector that projects computer-generated images.
Planetarium tickets can be reserved on the Gwacheon National Science Museum website up to 14 days in advance or purchased on-site.
Director Han Hyeong-ju said, "I hope visitors enjoy the magnificent dome images at the largest planetarium in Gwacheon Science Museum, and take time to appreciate the mysteries of the universe by viewing stars projected by the optical projector, escaping from everyday life."
