On this day, Pukyong National University conducted various sessions for newly appointed full-time faculty members this semester, starting with a special lecture by President Bae Sang-hoon, followed by guidance on the duties of educational public officials, an introduction to the university's history, curriculum guidance, training on using Smart-LMS, information on library research support services and collections, and strategies for securing academic research promotion projects and research grants.
On the 6th, sessions on the latest edutech utilization methods, student counseling skills and communication methods, and integrity education were held.
President Bae Sang-hoon said to the new faculty members, "Let us cooperate and communicate with all members, including the professors, and move forward together. Also, I hope you will put in extra effort so that our students can freely pursue their dreams."
Pukyong National University provides guidance on major university matters and mandatory education for new faculty members every semester, and appointed 13 new faculty members on March 1st as new faculty for the first semester of the 2025 academic year.
The Office of Educational Innovation at Pukyong National University, which organized the event, operates customized special lectures to strengthen teaching competencies reflecting faculty needs, including the new faculty workshop, supporting practical improvements in teaching methods such as effective lesson design and evaluation to enhance the quality of university education.
Additionally, the office continuously promotes educational innovation through the establishment, revision, and quality management of undergraduate curricula and extracurricular programs, analysis and feedback of educational outcomes, and strives to achieve sustainable development of the university and local community in connection with the Glocal and RISE projects.
