'Highland' is a self-directed learning content that fosters digital citizenship through virtual reality experiences.
Developed to promote proper character and the use of digital technology in the digital society, 'Highland' started with elementary schools in December last year and will expand its materials to all middle schools by the new semester of 2025.
The virtual reality educational materials will be uploaded to the AI-based teaching and learning platform 'Hi-Learning.' Through this, students can learn digital citizenship education that protects themselves and their friends anywhere, whether at school or at home.
'Highland' is designed to enable students to independently learn and develop digital citizenship competencies through various experiences and interactions in the virtual space, such as ▲ digital competency diagnosis ▲ watching digital citizenship videos ▲ participating in quizzes.
The Provincial Office of Education plans to develop a mobile version of the PC-based 'Highland' within the year to enhance students' learning accessibility.
