Seasonal Seafood Available at Affordable Prices Until June 30
In celebration of the '2025 Taean Visit Year,' a lively festival featuring seasonal seafood will take place on Anmyeondo Island in Taean-gun, Chungnam.
Taean-gun announced that the 'Anmyeondo Fish Market Seasonal Seafood Festival' will be held at Anmyeondo Fish Market in Anmyeon-eup until June 30.
This festival is a follow-up project after Taean-gun was selected for the '2025 Traditional Market and Shopping District Revitalization Support Project' hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups last year. The county aims to widely promote the charm of Anmyeondo Fish Market, where 90% of visitors are tourists, and to stimulate the local economy by connecting with nearby tourist attractions.
At the festival, visitors can purchase or directly taste a variety of local seafood at affordable prices, including Taean's specialties such as jumbo shrimp and blue crab, as well as cuttlefish, pen shell, flounder, and rockfish, which Taean proudly calls the 'treasure trove of seafood.'
In addition, various events such as performances by local singers and artists will be held in line with the season, and multiple payment options including Onnuri gift certificates and Taean Love gift certificates will be supported.
In particular, with the '2025 Taean World Tulip Flower Expo' hosted by Korea Flower Park taking place at Kkotji Beach from April 8 to May 6, an additional influx of tourists is expected.
A county official said, "We organized this festival in cooperation with market merchants to increase the consumption of local seafood and revitalize the local economy," and added, "We hope many people will visit and fully enjoy a joyful and happy spring in Anmyeondo."
