The 'Gwangju Youth Job Experience Dream Project', a popular youth employment policy in Gwangju, is officially starting its first half of the year job experience program.

On the 5th, Gwangju City announced that it would hold an orientation from the 4th to the 6th for three days at the Kimdaejung Convention Center and City Hall, targeting 451 participants of the 17th class of 'Dream Youth' in the Gwangju Youth Job Experience Dream Project.

The training helps participants set their job experience goals and proactively build basic job competencies through roadmap training in various fields. Additionally, they receive various tips such as emotional regulation and stress management to help them adapt smoothly to workplace life at the Dreamter (workplace).

On the second day of the training, Mayor Kang Gijung visited the training site held in the main conference room at City Hall in the afternoon to encourage the Dream Youth and held a 'Ask Anything' communication session. The youth shared their happiest moments, such as "When visiting Gwangju's famous restaurants!" and "I'm happy to be able to work as a Dream Youth and grateful for the opportunity," as they talked about their dreams and concerns.

Mayor Kang said, "Experience will become your own growth rings. Rather than concluding whether you have succeeded or failed right now, approach it with the mindset of carving your own rings," and promised, "Gwangju City will become a stronger support for youth so that you can rise above me."

The 17th class of Dream Youth were selected through counseling and interviews from among 2,132 applicants who participated in the 'Dream Meeting Day' held at City Hall from the 17th to the 19th of last month. They will gain job experience and strengthen their employment capabilities by working 25 or 40 hours per week at their matched workplaces for up to five months until the end of July.
