Chungnam Credit Guarantee Foundation to Provide Credit Guarantees Worth 75 Billion KRW Based on Special Contributions

Hana Bank Makes Special Contribution of 5 Billion KRW for Small and Medium Businesses and Self-Employed in Chungnam SME and Small Business Crisis Overcoming Special Appearance Business Agreement Ceremony

During the 8th term of the Minseon administration, Himssen Chungnam has been carrying out comprehensive activities to help normalize the management of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and small business owners who are facing crises due to the expansion of global economic uncertainty and a downturn in domestic demand. Following NH Nonghyup Bank, Hana Bank has also joined in to provide support.

On the 5th, Kim Taeheum, Governor of Chungnam, signed a 'Special Contribution Business Agreement for Financial Support for SMEs and Small Business Owners' with Lee Dongyeol, Vice President of Hana Bank, and Cho Sohang, Chairman of the Chungnam Credit Guarantee Foundation, in the situation room at the provincial government office.

According to the agreement, Hana Bank will make a special contribution of 5 billion KRW to the Chungnam Credit Guarantee Foundation and provide loans to support the growth of local businesses.

Based on this special contribution, the Chungnam Credit Guarantee Foundation plans to provide credit guarantees worth 75 billion KRW, which is 15 times the contributed amount, to SMEs and small business owners in the province who lack sufficient collateral.

SMEs and small business owners who need credit guarantees can apply by visiting a nearby Chungnam Credit Guarantee Foundation branch or through a smartphone app.

The provincial government expects that this special contribution will help resolve funding difficulties, strengthen competitiveness, and revitalize the local economy for SMEs and small business owners in the province.

Governor Kim said, "Hana Bank, as the representative bank of Chungcheong, has once again decided to provide funds to SMEs and small business owners in Chungnam this year for the sake of the local economy," and added, "Hana Bank has been the financial institution that has made the largest special contributions to Chungnam over the past 10 years. During the 6th and 7th terms, the contributions were 1 billion and 2 billion KRW, but since the 8th term, the amount has doubled to over 4 billion KRW, totaling nearly 30 billion KRW. I would like to express my gratitude once again."

Previously, NH Nonghyup Bank signed a special contribution business agreement with the Chungnam Credit Guarantee Foundation and made a special contribution of 4.7 billion KRW.

Last month, the provincial government also announced an 'Emergency Support Measure for Small Business Owners,' which provides 500,000 KRW per business to micro-enterprises. Applications for funding have been accepted since the 28th of the same month, with the first payments scheduled to begin on the 13th and all payments to be completed within one week from the application date.
