Osan-si Implements 'Anyone Care' Program Without Income or Age Restrictions

'Anyone Care' aims to complement the blind spots of existing public care services and provide prompt, customized support to citizens experiencing sudden care gaps.

Support amounts vary according to income level. Households earning 120% or less of the median income can use the service free of charge. Households earning between 120% and 150% receive half of the cost supported. Households exceeding 150% of the median income must bear the full cost.

The services are divided into ▲Daily Care ▲Accompaniment Care ▲Meal Support. 'Daily Care' supports citizens experiencing care gaps due to sudden accidents, including assistance with moving to the washroom or bathroom, meal preparation, and dishwashing. It can be used for up to 60 hours annually.

'Accompaniment Care' provides accompaniment support when citizens with mobility difficulties visit hospitals, government offices, banks, etc. The maximum annual usage time is 60 hours. 'Meal Support' offers regular meals to citizens who have difficulty preparing food, supporting up to 45 meals per year.

Five organizations participate in the project. Daily Care and Accompaniment Care services are operated by Osan Care Social Cooperative, Chamjoeun Home Welfare Center, and Gyeonggi Raon Home Welfare Center. Meal Support services are managed by the Segyo Welfare Foundation and Osan Senior Welfare Center.

Lee Gwon-jae, Mayor of Osan City, said, "Through the Anyone Care project, we will resolve care gaps and ensure that those in need can receive help promptly," adding, "We will continue to develop detailed welfare policies that all citizens can feel."
