Special Zone Foundation Recognized as 'Excellent' for Providing Public Data and Data-Driven Administrative Evaluation

The Research and Development Special Zone Promotion Foundation (R&D Special Zone Foundation) announced on the 5th that it received the highest rating (Excellent) in both the "Public Data Provision Operation Status Evaluation" and the "Data-Driven Administration Evaluation" conducted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.


The evaluation is conducted to establish a system for generating, opening, and utilizing high-quality public data in the public sector. The targets include 679 institutions such as central administrative agencies, local governments, and public institutions. The evaluation criteria consist of five categories: ▲Opening and Utilization ▲Analysis and Utilization ▲Sharing ▲Quality ▲Management System.


The R&D Special Zone Foundation was recognized for continuously opening customized data such as data demand discovery through public surveys and the status of promising technologies and research institute companies operating within the special zone, as well as for enhancing reliability through the production of high-quality data, receiving an "Excellent" rating in the Public Data Provision Operation Status Evaluation. This marks the fourth consecutive year the foundation has received an excellent rating in this category.


In the Data-Driven Administration Evaluation, the foundation was acknowledged for operating a data learning organization to foster a scientific administrative culture, discovering various analysis tasks, and reflecting them in policies. The foundation received an excellent rating in this category for the second consecutive year.


Jung Hee-kwon, Chairman of the R&D Special Zone Foundation, stated, "Public data is a core resource that citizens and companies can utilize, as well as an essential foundation for realizing scientific and transparent administration. The foundation will continue to promote the opening and quality improvement of public data to lead innovation in data-driven administration."
