Incheon Urban Corporation (iH) will hold the '2025 Purchase Rental Housing Business Briefing' on the 7th at the Holiday Inn Incheon Songdo Hotel (Ballroom) for multi-family and multi-household building business operators.
iH plans to purchase 500 units of multi-family and multi-household housing (400 units of existing housing and contract type, 100 units of public offering type) mainly in areas with high demand from young people and newlyweds, focusing on public transportation and station areas.
iH is promoting the purchase rental housing project by expanding the purchase contract method to induce new construction by private construction companies. This method involves iH purchasing houses through prior purchase contracts, which is expected to be effective in alleviating housing difficulties for vulnerable groups and establishing a mid- to long-term housing supply foundation between the public and private sectors.
An iH official stated, "In addition to the existing method of purchasing houses after completion of occupancy approval, we plan to increase the purchase volume through contract type and public offering type methods that start construction after signing a prior purchase commitment letter," adding, "We will strengthen quality control at each construction stage to improve the construction quality of purchased houses."
Since 2016, iH has started the purchase rental business and has purchased a total of 3,847 units, supplying them at about 30% of the surrounding market rent to low-income groups, young people, and newlyweds.
