Muan County and Public Officials' Union Launch 'Integrity Staff Relay'

Muan County, Jeonnam (Governor Kim San) announced on the 5th that it will conduct a "Find the Most Integrity-Driven Employee" relay, selecting two employees each week (80 employees over 40 weeks) until December.

This integrity relay is designed to foster an atmosphere of encouragement and celebration and to promote the practice of integrity. The relay begins with the governor and the public officials' union each nominating the first employee they believe to be the most integrity-driven, after which the selected employee nominates the next department in a relay format.

Governor Kim San nominated Jeon Haechan from the Food and Horticulture Division, who was newly appointed after graduating from high school this January, while the Muan County Public Officials' Union nominated Park Sangwon, the head of the Water and Sewage Works Office.

The selected integrity employee will take a commemorative photo holding an integrity-themed souvenir fire extinguisher and a placard, and will be featured as "This Week's Integrity Employee" on the internal Saeol administrative bulletin board.

The fire extinguisher carries the slogan "Extinguish lingering corruption like embers, achieve complete integrity," conveying the message that even small sparks of corruption should be extinguished early with the integrity fire extinguisher.

Jung Insook, Acting Chairperson of the Public Officials' Union Emergency Committee, said, "The union will take a leading role in establishing an upright public service culture through cooperation."

Governor Kim San stated, "We plan to implement various policies to build an integrity-driven Muan, and I hope this integrity relay will serve as an opportunity for all employees to reaffirm their commitment to integrity."
