New Related Major to Be Introduced Starting This Year
Sangmyung University announced on the 5th that it has been selected for the 11th time for KOICA (Korea International Cooperation Agency)'s "2025 University International Development Cooperation Awareness Enhancement Project."
Sangmyung University has provided students with opportunities to broaden their global perspectives and explore career paths through international development cooperation courses and overseas field activities.
In particular, the university has carried out education, health, and tourism promotion projects in partner countries such as Tanzania and Vietnam, and recently established a library at Banchan Elementary School in Laos.
This year, in addition to its existing international development cooperation courses, the university will launch a new course titled "International Development Cooperation Issues Through Video" and officially operate a "Micro-Major in International Development Cooperation and Sustainable Development."
Furthermore, the university plans to expand overseas field activities to strengthen practical skills in connection with the KOICA Young Professional (YP) program.
Baek Sunwook, Director of the Center for International Development Evaluation, stated, "We will focus on nurturing talent in international development cooperation and providing education aimed at solving global issues."
