The 2025 Namwon Drone Demonstration City Development Project has formed a consortium with leading domestic companies to proactively discover drone utilization models that suit government policies and regional characteristics, aiming to realize the vision of a "drone industry that citizens can experience."

In particular, Vice Mayor Min Sunshik personally attended the presentation held at the Incheon Aviation Safety Technology Institute, where he presented specific tasks for the Namwon Drone Demonstration City Development Project, receiving positive feedback.

As detailed demonstration tasks, Asseta Co., Ltd. will establish a Namwon-style drone delivery system based on the K-Drone Delivery Standard, and DFL Corporation will host an international drone racing competition to promote drone leisure sports. These initiatives drew significant attention during the document and presentation evaluations at the Aviation Safety Technology Institute.

Mayor Choi Kyungsik stated, "While we have established the foundation for the city's drone industry, this year is a crucial time to expand its base. We will do our best to make Namwon a city that flourishes with drones by vitalizing drone services in daily life and creating a sustainable drone industry ecosystem."

Meanwhile, the city is accelerating the construction of a multipurpose drone utilization center and an advanced drone sports activation support center, with drone leisure sports as the core, to foster new growth industries.

Additionally, through the upcoming 2025 Namwon International Drone Festival (October 16 to October 19, four days), the city plans to solidify its status as a leading player in the domestic drone industry and as a cutting-edge future festival.
