70 Races at Busan-Gyeongnam, 105 at Seoul, and 75 at Jeju Broadcast Over 5 Weeks in March
Series of Graded Stakes Races Begin: Busan Ilbo Cup on the 10th, Luna Stakes on the 30th
Korea Racing Authority LetsRun Park Busan-Gyeongnam (Head Eom Young-seok) announced the March horse racing schedule, featuring a total of 70 races held over 10 days across 5 weeks.
According to the March plan, among the 70 races held at Busan-Gyeongnam, 51 races are for Korean-bred horses, 17 races are mixed races for Korean and foreign-bred horses, and 2 races are graded stakes races.
Every Friday, 8 races are held at Busan-Gyeongnam and 8 races at Jeju, while Saturdays feature 10 races in Seoul and 7 races in Jeju broadcasted live. Sundays include 6 races at Busan-Gyeongnam and 11 races broadcasted from Seoul.
The first race on Friday at Jeju starts at 11:00 AM, and the first race at Busan-Gyeongnam starts at 11:25 AM.
The first race on Saturday and Sunday in Seoul starts at 10:35 AM, and the last race on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday all start at 6:00 PM.
In March, a series of races will begin every Sunday. The series races are organized into a total of 8 series based on race distance, the age, and gender of the horses, with each series consisting of 3 races.
At LetsRun Park Busan-Gyeongnam, the first race of the Sprinter (short distance) series, the ‘Busan Ilbo Cup,’ will start on the 9th, followed by the first race of the Best Korean 3-year-old Filly Selection series, the ‘Luna Stakes,’ on the 30th. In Seoul, the ‘Herald Economy Cup’ will be held on the 16th, and the ‘Dong-A Ilbo Cup’ on the 23rd.
