[Featured Stock] GRT Emerges as a Key Player in Global AI Robot Supply Chain... Benefiting from China's 'Science Rise'

GRT is showing strength. It appears to be influenced by the news of entering the artificial intelligence (AI) robot market in collaboration with Namsa Technology, a leading Chinese electronics company.

The annual major political event in China, the Two Sessions (National People's Congress and Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference), highlights ‘science and technology’ and ‘stimulating domestic demand’ as key keywords. As Chinese IT companies’ technological advancements threaten U.S. big tech, GRT is contributing to strengthening competitiveness through new materials.

As of 9:53 AM on the 5th, GRT is trading at 4,335 KRW, up 3.83% from the previous day.

GRT announced that Namsa Technology, in cooperation with Agi Bot, has launched the world's first open-source full-stack robot, 'Lingxi X1' (犀X1). Last year, Namsa Technology supported the production of over 1,000 AI robots for Agi Bot and plans to further increase the delivery volume. GRT provided various essential materials required in the AI robot production process.

Previously, since 2016, Namsa Technology has entered the smart robot field and independently developed industrial robots such as 6-axis robots and AOI visual inspection robots. They are expanding their workforce to strengthen research and development of core components for humanoid robots. A dedicated team provides various parts and assembly services, including robot joint modules, robot hands, and torso cases, to several humanoid robot companies.

The global humanoid AI robot market size is expected to exceed $350 billion by 2030, with China’s market share projected to surpass 50%. The collaboration between GRT and Namsa Technology further strengthens competitiveness in robot technology and market presence. They will demonstrate competitiveness in emerging markets such as home services, healthcare, and aging population issues.

The two companies also maintain a close relationship in terms of equity. Namsa Technology holds a 15% stake in GRT’s third factory, 'Jiangsu Huizhi New Materials,' located in Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province. According to a GRT official, "The equity relationship allows Namsa Technology to cooperate more closely in GRT’s production process," adding, "Through collaboration, GRT’s innovative technologies can exhibit stronger competitiveness in the robotics field."

The Jiangsu Huizhi New Materials factory covers a total area of 267,000 square meters, equivalent to 37 soccer fields. If the factory operates at maximum capacity, annual production value could reach 10 billion yuan (approximately 1.9 trillion KRW). GRT produces key materials such as high-quality functional films, precision coating materials, and lightweight high-strength materials to support robot manufacturing. Namsa Technology provides robot torso cases, displays, other core components, and high-quality functional films and precision coating materials.

This collaboration between the two companies encompasses various fields including AI robots, AR glasses, displays, automobiles, and renewable energy. Last year, GRT completed supplies worth 130 million yuan (approximately 26 billion KRW) to Namsa Technology. This year, it is expected to increase by more than 150%, achieving over 200 million yuan (approximately 40 billion KRW).

A GRT representative stated, "The cooperation with Namsa Technology is regarded as an important benchmark in the competitive landscape of the global robotics industry," adding, "As advanced technology companies such as Huawei, Tesla, Agi Bot, and Wishu Robot actively promote the industrialization of humanoid AI robots, Namsa Technology’s technological innovation and marketing strategies will secure a strong competitive advantage."
