Democratic Party Asan Mayor Preliminary Candidate Oh Sehyun Forms Supporters' Association

Up to 130 Million Won Can Be Raised

Oh Sehyun, the preliminary candidate of the Democratic Party of Korea running in the upcoming by-election for Asan Mayor in South Chungcheong Province on the 2nd of next month, announced on the 4th that he has formed a supporters' association.

Registered preliminary candidates can raise up to approximately 130 million won in donations through their supporters' associations.

Individual donors can contribute up to 20 million won per year, and up to 5 million won to a single supporters' association.

Anonymous donations are allowed up to 100,000 won per instance and 1.2 million won per year. Foreigners, as well as domestic and foreign corporations or organizations, are not permitted to donate political funds.

Oh stated, "The mayor elected in this by-election must begin work immediately the day after the election," adding, "I hope you will support me, as I have the experience and competence that require no time for adaptation or practice."
