Up to 30% Employment Insurance and 50% Industrial Accident Insurance Premium Support
for Sole Proprietors with Annual Sales Under 300 Million KRW
Daejeon City announced that it will implement the "Employment and Industrial Accident Insurance Premium Support Program for Sole Proprietors" to reduce the management burden on small business owners.
The program targets sole proprietors with annual sales of less than 300 million KRW. Daejeon City will cover up to 30% of employment insurance premiums and 50% of industrial accident insurance premiums. Employment insurance support can be combined with government programs, allowing applicants to receive support for 80-100% of their insurance premiums.
First-time applicants can receive support for three years, and those with previous support history can receive additional support for up to two more years after one year has passed since the previous support ended, for a maximum of five years.
Applications are accepted in March, June, September, and December, with first-quarter applications open until the 31st.
Kwon Kyungmin, Director of Economic Affairs for Daejeon City, stated, "Due to the ongoing economic downturn and weakened consumer sentiment, the business activities of many small business owners are under threat. We will continue to strengthen the social safety net so that small business owners, who are the foundation of the local economy, can focus on their businesses with reduced burdens."
