Communication and Seeking Support Measures
Joseongmyeong, the Mayor of Gangnam-gu, Seoul, will hold a total of 10 on-site communication meetings starting from the 4th, directly meeting with over 200 local small business owners, entrepreneurs, and economic experts to hear about the difficulties they face in the field.
This series of meetings was planned to listen to the real voices from small business owners and entrepreneurs who are experiencing management difficulties due to the domestic economic downturn, and to seek ways to revitalize the local economy.
The meetings will be held according to region and sector. On the 4th, there will be a meeting with small business owners; on the 6th, with entrepreneurs; and on the 7th, with experts in economic fields. On the 10th of this month, representatives from the food service and beauty industries will be met, and from the 5th to the 10th sessions until next month, representatives of businesses operating in the area such as restaurants, cafes, and real estate will be met to listen to their stories. Mayor Jo stated, “We will listen carefully to the vivid opinions of small business owners and entrepreneurs to establish effective support measures.”
Meanwhile, the district is putting all its efforts into revitalizing the local commercial district based on the highest level of support measures among basic local governments every year. This year as well, it announced that it is leading efforts to resolve management difficulties faced by local small business owners and SMEs by investing 207 billion KRW in policy funds, providing 100 billion KRW in loan interest support, 30 billion KRW in loans, issuing 74 billion KRW worth of Gangnam Love Gift Certificates with a 5% payback, and issuing 3 billion KRW worth of the public delivery app exclusive ‘Gangnam Ttaenggyeoyo Gift Certificates.’
