The city deployed 12 snow removal vehicles and 25 personnel to carry out the first round of snow removal starting at 4 a.m., completing snow removal on major arterial roads and city streets by noon. From midnight, seven 15-ton snow removal trucks were additionally deployed on outer roads, and three 1-ton snow removal trucks were sent to inner city side streets to continue ongoing snow removal operations.

Additionally, road patrols across all areas have been intensified, and extra safety measures such as spreading brine and sand on outer roads where road surface icing is a concern are planned.

For small-scale roads such as farm roads and village lanes in eup, myeon, and dong areas where rapid deployment of snow removal vehicles is difficult, cooperation is being sought from village chiefs and residents owning tractors to encourage self-managed snow removal work.

A city official stated, “We will further strengthen road patrols and do our best to carry out prompt snow removal operations,” adding, “We will prioritize citizen safety and minimize winter inconveniences.”
