Chief Kwon boarded a patrol vessel to inspect the jurisdictional waters, moved to the Jido Police Substation to encourage staff, and once again emphasized the establishment of a robust on-site rescue response posture.
Chief Kwon Oseong said, "Through continuous on-site inspections, we will establish a solid rescue response posture and do our best to ensure a safe sea by responding swiftly in the event of an accident."
Meanwhile, during the Special Maritime Safety Alert period, the Mokpo Coast Guard is implementing various policies such as increasing the deployment of patrol vessels, strengthening monitoring during fishing vessel departures and arrivals, conducting SOS button training for fishing vessel operators equipped with V-PASS, and promoting the wearing of life jackets.
