Business Consultations with Renowned Buyers
The 2025 Daegu International Textile Fair (Preview In Daegu), a comprehensive exhibition of textile materials, machinery, and fashion hosted by Daegu City and Gyeongbuk Province and organized by the Daegu Gyeongbuk Textile Industry Association, will be held for three days from the 5th at EXCO East Hall 5 and 6.
Marking its 23rd edition this year, PID will showcase the entire stream from yarn to finished fashion products on a scale of 470 booths from 261 domestic and international companies, with the theme of fusion between tradition and high-tech.
In particular, this year, together with companies awarded the CES 2025 Innovation Award, the ‘Sustainable High-Tech Pavilion’ will present a new blueprint for the textile fashion industry by combining convergence new technologies and eco-friendly technologies such as hyper-realistic fashion 3D digitalization services, AI fashion photo shoot solutions, and nanofiber cell culture.
At the Trend Forum Pavilion, visitors can preview the future vision of textile fashion that fuses design and technological sensibility based on the 2026 S/S trends.
Additionally, various conferences and seminars will be held to provide information on the latest issues and trends in the global textile fashion market, including brand resale, eco-certification, and fashion tech.
The ‘Meeting of Fabrics and Fashion’ exhibition held on the 5th and 6th inside the fairground will introduce garments produced through collaboration between local fashion designers and textile companies, and a space will be provided where citizens can purchase various unique fashion products, including clothing revealed at the fashion show, on-site.
Famous domestic and international buyers and vendors such as Burberry, Prada, Supreme, Hugo Boss, Fashion Group Hyungji, F&F, Shinwon, and Kolon FnC will participate in the PID event to conduct business consultations.
Hong Jun-pyo, Mayor of Daegu, said, “The textile industry is the foundation that made today’s Daegu possible,” adding, “Although the industry is facing difficulties due to structural changes and a prolonged economic downturn, the Daegu textile fashion industry still holds great potential, and it is expected to gain new opportunities through a major industrial structure transformation linked with future new industries such as ABB and robotics.”
